NaNoWriMo Update: We are almost There!

Posted on: Nov 29, 2008

With only two days to go, NaNoWriMo‘ers are working hard to finish their novels … skipping meals, forgetting their children, forgoing TWITTER?!? What kind of craziness is that?

I’m bouncing against the 45,000 word mark. Can I do it?

Can I dig deep into my writer’s soul and find 5,000 more words so I can conquer this novel writing monster of a contest once and for all?

Well, if I take all of the words I’ve written for this post and have my main character say them, I’d be 80 words closer. Hmmm … now I just have to figure out Why the heck she’d say ‘em.

I’m off to NaNo, folks. Ya’ll have a great Saturday!

Have you ever participated in NaNoWriMo? How did you do? If you are participating this year do you think you will hit 50K by tomorrow night?

Good luck. And *no*, haven’t done it. I am not a novel writer. I am a non-fiction kinda gal. Have faith in ya though.

Thanks, Robin. You should try fiction. It is so fun!

I love NaNo! Altho I haven’t finished the novel I started 2 Nano’s ago, it’s great fun. Hope you polish up what you wrote and get it published!

You have no idea how much I needed this inspiration today. Thanks!
