Some of you might remember a few months ago when the Blogosphere was abuzz with the Three Best Kept Travel Secrets meme. Yours truly contributed to the meme, writing about three lesser-known places in Calabria, particularly Paola, Pietragrande, Caminia and Amantea.
You know how sometimes you find yourself smack dab in the middle of a group of people … everything seems to have come together for a reason and things just generally click?
Man, I love that.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about expat life-what draws us here, what cements our loyalties to this new country and about the people we meet along the way. These relationships inevitably seal our fate and influence our happiness and perceptions of acceptance in this new world.
